A dead tree in a forest. Located on top of Mingus Mountain, Yavapai County, Arizona.

Taken on the west side of the Mingus Mountain Rim Loop in Yavapai County, Arizona.

Elizabeth, who was griping during the first half of the hike was feeling no pain in the second half. The second half involved climbing nearly 800 feet back to the top of the plateau. There was a lot of switchbacks, too. We stopped on the way up to let everyone catch their breath. Way in the background you can see Jerome and the mine. We were at about 7400 feet at this point.
